NoTosh has been working with school leaders across Europe on wide-scale adoption programmes for new deeper learning approaches that center not on the technology kit or one specific approach, but on the people who will be involved in the process. In this masterclass, learn how to use a selection of human-centered practices to develop a meaningful, actionable plan for making the most out of a technology or learning program, a plan that harnesses the existing knowledge and passions of your team.
This masterclass is open to anyone, but designed particularly for those who are starting out with or want to alter an existing strategy, to gain better engagement and buy-in from parents, staff and students. The masterclass will be highly interactive, delivered online with three hours of activity for participants to create tangible next steps. It is therefore ideal for leadership teams to come together. The questions before the panel include: What is the value of students having their own device? Should the local school district supply the devices or should students be expected to bring their own? What training needs and support systems are critical to implementing a PLD initiative?
What are the obstacles to avoid?
The panel will be moderated by Dr. Andy Berning, former Chief Technology Officer for Carrollton-Farmers Branch ISD and currently President of The Renaissance Institute. The
panelists are practitioners with experience implementing a BYOD and 1:1 from a teacher, principal, technologist, and central office perspective. They will share their experience and thoughts on best practices followed by an opportunity for questions
Meet with your team to reflect on what you learned and plan what you’ll be implementing in your district/school!
